Wellbeing

Human Resources project
for Aster Group Ltd
The brief

To inform Aster colleagues about a new human resources benefit program that provided wellbeing support, helping them to be happier and healthier.
Using the Best Companies survey, Aster colleagues informed us that wellbeing at Aster needed to be improved. In response, a new wellbeing programme was drafted, which was rolled out across the Group in April 2015.
This wellbeing project focused on four main areas:
Be Active, Eat Well, Think Well and Change Habits.
As physical activity is essential for good health and contributes to overall positive wellbeing. Aster provided either an onsite gym or financial discount to join a local gym.

Branding

The design team was tasked to create bespoke branding to tie-in with the existing ‘Way We Work’ style. Produce support documentation that outlined the benefits and what the project targets were.
It had three key outcomes:
To educate and inform employees about their wellbeing
To help improve the wellbeing of employees
To ensure managers were equipped with the skills they needed to manage the wellbeing of their team.

Screen savers

To ensure managers were equipped with the skills they needed to manage the wellbeing of their team.
This was then supported by resources and information, an activity programme and specific training for managers.
This included an Employee Assistance Programme which is a confidential service of experienced professional counselors who can help with a wide range of personal and work related problems, available 24 hours a day.

Supporting Documentation

An eight page booklet was produced and distributed to Aster colleagues, this explained the new website and how each of the four areas affected them.
